Why We Started This Fund

Transparency You Can Trust

We started the Family Support Giving Fund because our donors and sponsors want transparency. They want to know where their money is going and the impact it has on families in our community.

Too often, donors give without ever seeing the difference their gift makes. This fund changes that. When you give, you’ll know your donation supports real families and is used for essential planning services — so you can see the impact, and families can plan with confidence.

Why This Matters

The Need Is Real

0+

Wisconsin children & young adults receive services through Children's Long-Term Support Program

1 in 26

Wisconsin children identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder

0+

Wisconsin adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities rely on long-term support programs

Yet there is no public funding available to help families pay for essential planning tools such as:

  • Wills
  • Special Needs Trusts
  • Guardianships
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Financial Planning

Morgan's Caring Connection fills this gap through financial assistance, education, and trusted professional connections.

Help Secure a Family's Future

Our Mission

Removing the Barrier to Trusted Help

For families with special needs dependents, planning for the future isn’t optional — it’s a responsibility filled with urgency and love. But getting started is hard. Most families face three common barriers: they don’t know where to start, they don’t know who to trust, and even when they do, they often don’t have the bandwidth to figure it all out. So planning gets put off — until a crisis forces them to react instead of plan ahead.

The Family Support Giving Fund was created to remove those barriers. Through the fund, families receive financial support to cover essential services like guardianship, special needs trusts, and estate planning — delivered by the trusted professionals in our network. At MCC, we help families connect to the right people so they can do their long-term planning. That connection is where families find peace of mind.

This is not just a program. It is a partnership of compassion between families, donors, and community members working together to create a brighter, safer future.

Your Generosity

See Your Impact

Our 2026 goal was to award 20 grants — and thanks to our donors and sponsors, we've already blown past it. We're now at 24 families supported in 2026, and with continued funding we plan to approve up to 4 more grants this year.

That would bring us to 50 grants awarded since we started in 2024 — a milestone worth chasing. Every donation moves the bar forward, and each step forward means another family no longer faces the future unprepared.

Family Stories

Every family's journey is unique, but they all share the same goal: ensuring peace of mind and security for their loved one's future. Looking Back

2025 Recap

In 2025 we set a goal of 5 grants — and, thanks to our donors and sponsors, we surpassed it by awarding 20 grants. Families across Wisconsin used their grants for estate planning, special needs trusts, guardianship, life insurance, ABLE accounts, and more. Below are just a few of the voices behind that year.

  • When I made the initial call I was in panic mode. Talking to Janis was calming — she gave me everything I needed. Truly one of the best experiences I've had in getting my daughter's needs met.

    Kandi & Greg Wolfmeyer

  • We are so grateful for Morgan's Caring Connection. They've given us the resources to be prepared for the unexpected. Morgan would be so proud of this legacy her family is continuing in her memory.

    Jennifer Marquissee

  • We are SO grateful to MCC for connecting us with a lawyer that specializes in Special Needs Trusts and for awarding us a grant to offset the cost. Janis and Kelly have been extremely helpful.

    Laurie Lewis

  • From the moment I connected with Janis, I felt an overwhelming sense of comfort. Because of MCC, I now have peace in knowing that my sons will have a home, guidance, and the support they need.

Sustained Support

Recurring Giving

One-time donations are powerful. But recurring donations are transformative. By choosing to give monthly, you help sustain the fund throughout the year, ensuring that families have continuous access to support whenever they need it most.

A monthly gift means:

  • Predictable resources that allow us to plan ahead and commit to more families.
  • Smaller amounts add up to big change over time.
  • You become part of a community of committed supporters who stand with families month after month.

Whether it's $25, $50, or $100 a month, your ongoing support ensures that the Family Support Giving Fund remains a reliable source of hope and stability.

For Families

Apply for Support

We understand how overwhelming it can feel to prepare for your loved one's future. The Family Support Giving Fund is designed to be accessible, simple, and supportive.

Next round of funding: September 2026

Application deadline: August 15, 2026.

We've already exceeded our 2026 goal of 20 grants — 24 families have been supported so far. Assuming we have the funding, we will approve up to 4 more applications in 2026, bringing us to 50 grants awarded since we started in 2024.

Families interested in applying follow a straightforward process:

  1. 1

Submit Your Application: Complete the application form on our website and include all required information and documentation to support your request.

  2. 2

Share Your Story: Submit a recent family or dependent photo along with a short story (no more than 150 words) about your situation. This helps us connect donors to the real lives their support is impacting. Stories are shared with donors to inspire and encourage continued giving.

* Why We Ask for a Photo & Story:

Sharing a photo and short story helps us show donors the real families whose lives are being changed through their generosity. These stories create a personal connection, inspire others to give, and allow us to continue supporting more families like yours. We are sensitive to your privacy — only the photo and story you provide will be shared.
